Joiners Mallet, Leatherworking, Carving top tool

These handmade, hardwood mallets are classy and functional.

These mallets are constructed with mortise and tenon joinery, coupled with hardwood wedges. Each mallet is sanded smooth and finished with three coats of boiled linseed oil or mineral oil (custom finish upon request) and a thoroughly buffed beeswax polish. Please specify if you require a foodsafe finish.

Ipe face (light brown/orange), Maple & Greenheart core, long handle;
Darina face (light brown, pink & blonde streaks) & Purpleheart core, med-length handle;
Kabukalli face (light brown, reddish streaks) w Bloodwood inlays, oak core, med-length handle.

Mallets shown in listing include a maple top handle, however, additional wood species are available for both mallet face, core & handle. The drop down menu includes woods currently in inventory, but feel free contact me with custom requests and I'll do my best to accommodate.

Large mallet 7.5" handle length; face 6.5"W x 3.25"H x 2 5/8" thick
Small mallet 6.5" handle length; face 5.5"W x 2 5/8"H x 2.25" thick
Mallet faces angled at 2.5 degrees
