Oil painting of a big red kangaroo resting in the afternoon heat.

The famous big red kangaroo is the largest marsupial and the largest Australian mammal. Mammals are warm-blooded animals. All mammals have hair and most are born live, not from eggs and are usually helpless when they are babies. All mammal babies drink milk from their mothers.
Some big red males stand two metres tall and top weigh around 85 kilograms. Males are larger than females and are very powerfully built. Their fur is usually red-brown, but some eastern females can be a blue-grey colour.

This original oil painting is complete with a white matt surround and narrow white frame and is ready to hang. The frame is identical to the framed painting of Mother and baby koala I have listed under Animal Paintings.
