Mary's Prayer - Created in honor of my mother Mary who was called by the Creator in 2008. The Hummingbird is her spirit, there have been numerous occasion where this beautiful delightful creature has shown herself as result of prayers and just when the family was in need of a positive sign. This is a painting of hope and love.

Mythical Bird - One of my favorite images. I was inspired by the Native Peoples of the Northwest Tribes. I thought of this great bird and added hints of the Northwest with very prominent Pueblo motifs. The bird is a combination of different squash blossom designs and is looked over by a cloud design with a lightning bolt emerging. This represents new life.

San Ildefonso Phoenix - Along with my other favorite paintings. The original is proudly owned by a relative in San Ildefonso. It displays a vibrant Phoenix Bird rising up from the Pueblo's Sacred Black Mesa and within the bird sits a warrior Spirit and the eye of the bird is a shooting star. In the foreground is a figure who is praying in front of this occurrence.

I have been painting for over 41 years and I am one of many artistically gifted Great Grandchildren of famed Potter Maria Martinez.
