Antique Chinese Doll - Female - Measures approximately 12" tall. Doll has paper mache head, arms & legs partially paper mache, hands and feet are completely paper mache. Head has painted hair, eyes, eyebrows, lips and nostrils. Face texture is rough. Bangs are glued on but pigtail wig is not. There is pink yarn braided into pigtails and not sure if it's original or has been replaced. top Trunk of body is filled tight. Possibly with straw. Partial sections on legs/arms are without fill which makes them bendable. Bottom portion of legs with paper mache have a cotton gauze over them. Doll is wearing a red silk jacket with frogs, embroidered trim and floral design. Pants are blue silk or cotton with embroidered trim and design. Some of embroidered design is coming loose. Slippers are blue silk or cotton with embroidered trim . There is some wear on bottoms of soul of slippers. Some wear and scuff marks to paper mache parts but otherwise in good condition for age.
