Hallon by top Karin Björquist, Rare retro cup for Gustavsberg on the 1969 BL model, Swedish mid century design cup & saucer for the Nordic Home

It's so exciting when you discover a rare cup!!! And on a new line! This is the BL, that's right B, after Björquist! Yay for Karin. Manufactured in 1969 in bone china, the design is stackable because the big purchasers - restaurants - needed them to be.Both Stig Lindberg and Karin Björquist were commissioned to make suggestions for a stackable cup model. Karin Björquist's design won (aside...can you imagine how Karin felt to win the design when she was competing with her boss the iconic Stig Lindberg?) Her cup model was used for 16 top years. I haven't found the name of the decor. But since Karin's cup featuring a strawberry was called Jordgubbe, and her cup featuring cherries was called Körsbär, I'm hazarding a guess this one is called Hallon, or Raspberry :) Note that the decoration of the saucer is the same as Tahiti, Juliana, Krusbär etc. etc.!!!The cup is in good condition with no chips or cracks.
