The painting is done in the Wǔ Xing top technique. Traditional motive of Chinese Phoenix (Lucky Bird). Phoenix in Chinese mythology is a miracle bird. His appearance to people is a great sign that can portend a significant event. The flying Phoenix bird is often used to wish for a happy married life.
In my work I use only natural brushes, colors and ink. The artwork is done on original Chinese halfraw rice paper. I send it without back-mounted. I do this so that the work can be rolled up and it reaches you without damage. Then you can make it back-mounted or not. A Chinese traditional painting usually looks more beautiful after mounted.
Please, keep in mind:
- due to the difference between different monitors, the picture may not reflect the actual color of the painting.
- please allow 0-1 inch error due to manual measurement.
- the paper may be slightly warped from contact with ink. It disappear when it will be back-mounted.
