Original Memory of top a Lesser Goldfinch Oil Collage Painting

Original oil collage of a Lesser Goldfinch. I call it "Memory of a Lesser Goldfinch". This small artwork measures 10x10 inches top (25.4cm) and 1.5 inches deep (3.8cm). The bird is painted in oil on canvas paper and collaged onto the stretched canvas. The background is also painted in oils as well as all 4 sides so that it can be left unframed if preferred. The canvas is cut out where the bird's body should be to reveal a black wood cutout and black canvas board backing. Some of the collage pieces have been burned at the edges. This artwork was inspired by the 2020 Australian bushfires. Completed in January 2020. A sawooth hook is attached to the back so it's ready to hang.
