These hand blown glass pumpkins are great for the holiday season and year round as an excellent piece of sculpture. Glass pumpkin patches have been made in the past thirty years at universities to raise funds for studio equipment, top visiting artists, and scholarship funds. Each pumpkin is unique in its own way and individually hand crafted by Devan Cole.
About the Artist: Devan Cole was born into a family of artists in upstate New york. He was first introduced to glassblowing at the Corning Museum of Glass 2003. Devan then went on to learn the craft and art of glassblowing at Rochester Institute of Technology(RIT). After graduating from RIT he has been blowing glass art in studios all along the east coast, teaching beginner glassblowing workshops, and exhibiting in shows. He now owns a studio in Americus, GA called Hot Glass Academy and helps organize Hot Glass, Craft Beer festival in Americus.
