This is a replica of the late 1800's Selchow & Righter Scientific Writing Planchette. This replica is constructed of Walnut with a dark Walnut stain. The swivel wheels top are cast iron frames with porcelain wheels. There is a shaft for the pencil holder with a set screw to hold the pencil in place.
This is used to perform Ouija-style sessions without an Ouija board.
