Oyster top Geode Box with "Pearl"

top I always wondered how early man discovered the many gifts of the amazing oyster. The outside looks like a rock but inside is a tasty delicacy, and maybe a pearl. A geode looks like a rock on the outside and when opened reveals a gem. As part of my Geode series, I "fused" land and sea and came up with the Oyster Geode complete with "pearls". This oyster is a departure from my previous "half shell" geodes because I included the "other half". The lid rests gently over the oyster and its pearl. I made my molds for slumping the glass from an actual oyster shell. The oyster can be displayed opened or closed on the included acrylic stand and arrives in a lovely gift box.
