Vintage hanging lamp, wood, teak, linen fabric, Scandinavian 1960-70



An unusual vintage pendant lamp made from natural raw materials, manufactured in the late 1960s -70s.

The special design makes this lamp a real eye-catcher.
Many small wooden squares were sawn out in order to place them between long wooden sticks.
Thick beige rope has been patinated to hold the wooden sticks wrapped around a lower ring. The rope, similar to sisal, was knotted at the top (head) ring of the lamp.
This is how the outer frame was created, which is placed on the inner frame.

The inner frame consists of a white metal wire frame and also holds the lamp socket in the middle, for an E 27 light bulb.
Around this inner wire frame, white fabric, probably half-linen (removable and washable) was designed as a lampshade.

The lamp can also be used without the outer frame.

The outer frame with (wood decors) lies loosely on top of the inner frame (lamp with fabric).
Above the head there is a large teak wood lens that routes the cable up and is part of the design

It is a very rare lamp with beautiful details. For the kitchen, the dining room or the hallway or wherever it may shine.
It is in a beautiful vintage condition with no damage.
Of course, she brings with her some patina and signs of age. It has been cleaned and the wood taken care of for a long time.
Suspended from the ceiling, it looks young and natural.

There is a lot of manual work on it and the wooden plates have different grains. This makes her appear wild and idiosyncratic.
The opposite of boring. For a nice ambience in the Danish Modern style and a top vintage boho sweetheart.

It lights up and works well, it comes without a bulb. It requires 1 E27, which today can also be replaced by corresponding LEDs for even brighter light. Advice in specialist shops. The canopy white above is provided with hooks.
