This is a process painting where I have worked through many layers to arrive at the final image. The primary medium is Acrylic Paint on Panel but also include many bits and peices of book pages & mono prints. Be sure to zoom in to see smaller details which include bits of references to botanical subject matter that I have drawn and painted in. My intent was to represent the idea of an imagined space/experience influenced by organic forms seen while walking outside and daydreaming. It is not intended to depict one specific view/subject as observed in a single moment...rather a collection of experiences.

Color notes: the black ranges from a deep, true black to warmer brown-black inspired by darks seen after a rain...such as the wet bark of a tree or the wetted soil. I worked in a limited palette of rich greens with varied pink washes.

This is an top original, one of a kind, acylic painting/mixed media artwork on cradled panel. I have used high quality, professional grade acrylic paint and mediums, over gessoed cradled hardwood panel. The artwork is varnished with multiple layers of a satin polymer varnish with UVLS, an ultraviolet filter and light stabilizer, to protect against discoloration due to age and ultraviolet exposure.

Mini but makes an impact with its high contrast.

It comes wired and ready to hang on your wall. The photos do not show the wire that has been added as they were taken before the fact. It is not framed but the sides of the cradled panel are painted the dark black/brown. It can be displayed as it or set into a gallery style frame.
