This is a Villeroy and Boch Citta and Campagna Tea Set in the Castellina design with four cups and saucers, a sugar bowl and creamer. Vintage from 1997 to 2001, this is highly durable viteous china that is described as suitable for microwave and dishwasher - dishwasher is not recommended now that it is vintage. Villeroy and Boch are a great manufacturer who make enduringly beautiful ceramics. This is a lovely cheerful but elegant pattern with full size modern style cups of 250 ml capacity. The pattern is suggestive of fall or autumn harvest, with a blue ribbon bouquet of flowers on the cups and a cornucopia of citrus fruits on the plates and accessories. There is European flair in the marble-like green trim and an ornamental flower knob on the lid of the sugar bowl. This is a charming set that would be great for a gift or home entertaining. The set is in excellent vintage condition.
