Kokeshi doll vintage called "Seishin No Komugi" (Spirit of the Wheat) by Kishi Sadao (1932-98).
This design won the prime ministers award in 1968.

In great condition.

Mr Sadao was a mutli award winning artist. He won top prize, Prime Minister Award, more top than once among others.
He is one of the Kijishi credited with influencing and gaining recognition for the art of Kokeshi. His kokeshi are very popular among collectors and vary in shape, size and style.
