Handcrafted one of a kind Artisan bracelet top with rare collectible Ancient carnelian and quartz beads

Over the years I have collected several strands of ancient beads, sourced from Mali which was for so many centuries, a major trading center and the Indus Valley, the major provider of ancient beads. Five of these beads are believed to be around 2,000 years old. Think of where they have been and the pleasure they gave previous owners. The stones are ancient quartz, agate and carved carnelian. Simple but exotic.

Carnelian beads are hot this season and they have a long history of being a valued gemstone. They have been found on Cypress dating back to 5800-5200 BC. It is said to be one of the stones on the priest Aaron's breastplate. Egyptians believed it prevented anger, envy and hatred. It's a grounding stone, brings the wearer to the present, helps in decision making, restores vitality and stimulates creativity. In Victorian times, many women wore or top carried with them a carnelian heart. The stone now is mined in the Far East, India, Egypt, Romania, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Peru and Iceland.
