Mayan Terracotta Whistle top

top This is a terracotta whistle from the Classic Mayan period (250 - 900 AD) in the shape of a small quadruped. It still sounds. With two hole stops, it produces three separate tones. It is missing a small section of its tail. The neck has been pierced for a suspension cord. It's just really cute.
