Old Israeli Carved Olive top Wood Jesus Good Shepherd Sheep Statue Nativity Scene Creche Bethlehem Sculpture Isreal Missing Staff

This is a beautiful nicely detailed hand carved olive wood sculpture of a nativity shepherd holding a lamb or sheep. It's an older piece from either Bethlehem or Jerusalem Israel and it has a nice warm slightly darkened patina. I believe this may represent Jesus.

It measures about 10.5” tall and nearly 3 1/8” wide. He does NOT have a staff in his hand and the original one is NOT present.

The detail is truly exquisite from the hair and robes to the sandals and base, this is a beautiful piece that would finish off a nativity scene or display beautifully on its own.

In excellent used condition, the carving is free from damage or repair and would make a great gift any time of year. Again, NO staff, however.
