ABOUT THE ARTIST
Virginia was born December 22, 1929 in Waukegan. She studied academics at the university of Illinois, and majored in interior design and fine arts at the Chicago Art Institute. At her children's school fairs she began painting her "Whimsical mice" where they sparked popularity among adults and children. She was an artist and a freelance illustrator for Hallmark greeting cards for 22 years. She wrote and illustrated hundreds of cards. She also Illustrated and sold many original works of top art to fine art galleries like Merrill Chase. She died on August 21 2012 at 82 years old.
