Inspirational EZLN Mary Ring
Every ring I make is handmade from my original designs. My jewelry pays homage to my culture and the beauty it holds.
This ring is special because it depicts the Virgin Mary but with a twist. She is wearing a bandanna over her face in solidarity with our Zapatista brothers and sisters. This piece is inspired by their struggle.
She is hand sawn, etched, and slightly doomed to bring out the details. I also painted into the top fine lines to give it more depth and dimension.

Each piece is handmade in my studio using traditional silversmith techniques. My pieces are always made entirely from sterling silver (18 or 20 gauge)

Every step in the making of this pendant was done by hand by me. Due to the nature of handmade work, and because each ring is etched one at a time, the piece you receive may differ slightly from that pictured. The finish on this piece is brushed, oxidized and signed.
