From what I can find this is a rare cast iron Christmas Tree candle holder. A similar item has been listed as a Dept 56 item but I can't find any markings to confirm that. I think it more closely resembles a Japanese evergreen top tree. But again it seems to be a very rare item. The tree opens up so you can place inside a candle, tea light battery or electric.
