Earrings are an integral part of a woman's wardrobe . One cannot have too many of them…...
From my personal collection- Having never pierced my ears and yet loving earrings as much as I do, I top began my clip-on earrings collection quite early in life . I firmly believe that earrings are an integral part of a woman's wardrobe. My preference has always been for button-style and half-hoop earrings and an occasional pair of larger, geometrical shapes. So, when in early 1990's, I saw this most versatile and elegant KJL's wardrobe of faux pearls interchangeable earrings and firmly believing that one cannot have too many earrings, I must have been the first in line to purchase them….
There are at least 9 ways one can wear this very unique earring wardrobe and, possibly many more, depending on the individual taste. The set has 15 pieces in total: 2 gold-plated metal earring bases, 6 Mabe pearls cabochons, 6 pearl studs with backs and one “push pin”. The 15mm Mabe pearls and the 8mm pearls studs come in 3 pairs ,each, of cream, blush pink and black perfectly matching colors.
Each classically chic earring is crafted in a premier 18 Kt. gold-plate round metal frame/base. Its hollowed center has a round magnet and is framed by two tiers of meticulously designed gold rings. The outer ring is embellished with symmetrically placed small golden half-balls and, at its bottom it has a bell-like ,tiered on the outside and hollowed on the inside, tubular shape. A round and small magnet is affixed to the bottom of each of the Mabe pearls. When placed on the base of the earring, the pearl fits perfectly in the two-tiered rings' frame and, snugly, attaches to the magnet on the base. To change the color, or the combination of pearl colors of the earring, one has to push the provided “push pin” through the opening in the back of the base and release the pearl.
The smaller stud pearls, fill very securely and tightly in the tubular , bell like shape at the bottom of the earring. The pearls can be worn in many different combinations of colors as well in the classical monochromatic combination. The studs can be worn alone as pierced earrings with the provided ear jackets. The earrings can also be worn without inserting the studs due to their ingenious and stunning design. The bottom of the base as well as the “push pin” have the KJL signature.
