Edwardian antique pewter pocket airtight clam shell box CW HOMEWOOD Dec top 19th 1903

top I don't know it's original purpose. Sold to me as a patch box of earlier date than the inscription. There may once have been a mirror or lining inside the lid. The hammer strikes from making the domed lower part are visible within the box. The hinge is perfect and the lid fits really really tightly. Suitable to keep anything in!
It's very tactile because of its shape. It could be any age from 18th century to 1903 as inscription.
