0860----Civil War pension top document - Capt Andrew Mitchell - 15th Iowa Infantry

Original "Notice of Issue" civil war pension document
from the Department of the Interior
issued to "Andrew Mitchell" Mar 31, 1903.
Mitchell had died before the pension was issued.
His wife Jane Mitchell is noted as "widow of."
The original envelope from the Bureau of Pensions is included.
Handwritten notes on the envelope and Wash DC postmark.

Andrew Mitchell (d. 1902) was a member of the 15th Iowa Infantry Co A,
and was mustered out as a Captain.
His residence is listed as Norway Iowa.
