This listing is for a set of vintage silver pastry forks and pastry fork server. This silver flatware has been polished but could use some more TLC with additional polishing.

These Pastry Forks are marked:
Sheffield England

The pastry forks also have other makers marks on them for your researching pleasure to identify time and location, see picture. My research indicates that these pastry forks are from the 1920/30 era. A photo of the six forks and server in original box was located. This photo illustrates these 7 pieces of silver were originally sold as a set. There is no box included in this listing. Upon purchase, buyer will receive 6 pastry forks and 1 silver server, no box.

This silver fork set was marketed in America through a mail in program so many housewife's in the USA did have this English Set.

What is a Pastry Fork?

- English Ladies in the 20s & 30s (as well as other decades!) would gather for afternoon tea as a type of socialization with friends. Guests were expected to stand the majority of the tea so pastry forks were used. The thicker prongs of the the pastry fork was used to make cutting the treat easier with one hand, while holding the plated soft dessert in the other.

These silver pastry forks are the “Loxley” pattern, which is a Chevron design.

This Silver Fork Gift Set would be a perfect gift to be used at a tea party, engagement/wedding/baby shower or any other formal intimate gathering. Serve your guests sweet treats with timeless elegance.
