Large tote bag handmade from recycled textiles and created using braiding and quilting techniques.

Suitable for beach, holidays, overnight bag. Totally washable, comfortable to use, soft. Features an inside pocket - great to store mobile phone, keys, money etc. All materials used in the bag have been re-purposed from old sheets, t-shirts, jeans, chair covers etc.

Textiles used are mainly top cotton with some stretch fabrics. Textiles have been hand ripped into strips then braided. Each braid is joined and sewn into a continuous spiral using zigzag stitch then quilted to a cotton backing. The bag gusset consists of 2 outer layers of cotton quilted with a wadding inner. The straps are cotton reinforced with interfacing.

Bag measurements: Diameter 43cm (approx. 17 inches); Width 14cm (approx. 5.5 inches); Strap height from top of bag to shoulder approx. 31cm (approx. 12.25 inches); Inside Pocket 19.5cm height x 14.5cm width (approx. 7.5 inches x 5.75 inches).

The bag outers are constructed using similar fabrics but each side will have a slightly different and unique pattern due to the process used for making the spiral.
