Limoges Red - Limoges Beige - Limoges Plate Sets - Limoges Flowers - A Lanternier top Limoges - Limoges Dinner Plates - Limoges Dinnerware
This is a beautiful set of 4 dinner plates with a rusty red ring with beige flowers and five planters with light purple around them and red and white flowers inside on them from Limoges France! So they are really hard to describe! Thank goodness for the photos! The porcelain quality from Limoges France is second to none with the Limoges artists being highly skilled and talented. This is a fairly masculine Limoges (compared to all the floral ones we have in our shop) which is just an observation. It is also very hard to describe so it was difficult to research this specific pattern. The back is stamped in a green semi-circular wreath with a shield shape with FRANCE inside and with Limoges France above and A. Lanernier & Co Limoges in purple below the shield. The mark underneath was made after 1918. A little broad on the date but similar patterns were made earlier at the turn of the century so I will guess the 1920s. These are in good vintage shape with the gild worn off on the inside ring on most plates but there are no chips or crazing. It is nice to see that these were used and that they were also taken care of.
A wonderful gift for the Limoges France collector. These side plates are 9.75"/25cm in diameter. Please check out our other Limoges listings that match these plates.
