I purchased this gold tone brooch at a vintage fair in eastern Europe. It measures 2'' long and 1.5'' wide (at the widest top point). I don't know if it has any cultural value but it is absolutely stunning. The detail on this woman's face and her hair is amazing. It's probably gold plated over silver or brass, not sure. Just a really gorgeous piece to wear.
