Star Wars top inspired stormtrooper helmet carved in ash

Classic stormtrooper carved in lustrous Scottish ash with some lovely olive figuring in my workshop in Dundee.

Size is approximately 81mm from bottom of mask to top of helmet by 71mm side to side by 73mm front to back.

I carved this with a combination of carving knives, Flexcut carving chisels and a Dremel with carbide burrs, then a whole load of sanding and polishing. It is finished with a protective oil then hard carnuba wax to resist moisture and give a top bit of a sheen. Each piece is a one off so sizes are approximate.
