When the model struck this pose, I was instantly reminded of the song "Shallows" by the band Daughter. I was overcome with the emotions the song had previously held for me, somehow mirrored by this container of feeling portrayed by the model's pose. Afterward, when touching up the sketch in my home, I listened to the song over and over... Feeling grateful for the cathartic depths that can sometimes be found unexpectedly via motion and music.
