Primitive Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Man A Tribute To the Late Kim Kohler Pattern Designer of Veena's Mercantile Ouija Board Print FAPM top HAFAIR

PRIMITIVE HALLOWEEN JACK-O-LANTERN ART DOLL "JESTER" Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Halloween Offerings. Here we have a Primitive Halloween Jack-o-Lantern Art Doll that I have fondly named "Jester". This piece would display nicely nestled in with your Halloween Decor. He measures 20" tall x 7" wide x 4" deep. I created this piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. His body is sewn from muslin, stuffed tightly with fiberfill, paint-washed his body in orange mixed with a vanilla-coffee stain and baked in the oven, and sanded him for a worn appearance. I have hand-stitched his eyes and mouth using stained and frayed osnaburg, and then prim-stitched with black embroidery floss for the details. Tiny black beads are sewn on for the pupils. His mouth is cut from osnaburg that was painted black and sewn to his face. Several white French Knots stitched across his mouth to resemble his teeth. Osnaburg that was painted a gloss black, was Prim-Stitched as his triangle nose. Black artist pencils were used for shading. His hat is sewn from muslin, painted orange and sewn to his head to resemble the lid of a carved pumpkin. His legs were painted orange and black stripes. His fancy suit features a quilt-quality grey cotton printed with black spooky designs, that I have stained with a coffee-vanilla mixture. Two black buttons accent the front. His suspenders are made fom black pearl cording and wrapped over his shoulders and around his neck. His coordinating pants are sewn from black and grey checkerboard plaid homespun. A tiny black satin bow tie was sewn under his chin. I have given this piece a Prim Tag aged with the coffee-vanilla-cinnamon and topped with a vintage greeting card image of a black cat surrounded by four Jack-o-Lanterns, each carved with different faces that says "A Merry Hallowe'en". I have bordered the edges with fine black German Glass Glitter for a bit of sparkle and attached it to this sleeve with a rusty safety pin. This piece has been lovingly made by me from inspirations of a pattern designed by the very talented, late, Kim Kohler of Veena's Mercantile. This Holiday season, I am sewing and painting a multitude of her creations in honor of her passing. Each design will come to you signed, dated and tagged with my own label "Vintage Keepsake Trunk" which states "The Handcrafting and Time Invested in this Piece are its Own Mark of Quality". All items come from my smoke free sewing studio and are boxed with tissue and bubblewrap for safe shipping at No extra charge.
