Beautiful late Edwardian early Art Deco silver plated ring.
Set with the highly collectible Iris Glass paste rhinestone in the centre and with a small ruby pink rhinestone either side in shoulders to set of and hi-light the beautiful rainbow colours of its central stone which is faceted to catch the light.

Iris glass was originated in Germany and has been popular over the years and known as rainbow stones and then much later as AB Aurora Borealis (very popular during 50's/60's) however the earlier stones are much clearer and finer cut paste compared to the rhinestones produced today.
These rare and top sought after pieces and this little ring is no exception and has been loved and worn therefore has some rubbing to the plate however this really does add to the charm and authenticity of this wonderful piece!
