Russel Wright Sterling Restaurant Ware Brown Large Oval top Platters - Sample Piece Pottery Proof Plate - Set of 4 - Shipping Included

This is a set of 4 large oval platters from Sterling China designed by Russel Wright. They measure about 11 5/8 inches across, are heavy and were designed for industrial restaurant diner use. One of the platters is a Pottery Proof or Sample Piece with underglaze instructions as to design. Instructions read "Sterling White 80% 8639 Brown 20% Zinc" Instructions are preceded by the numeral 2 with a circle around it. All plates have impressed backmark Sterling by Russel Wright. One plate has a stray mark on face as shown. It is not the proof plate. All plates show some signs of utensil use when held to light. Otherwise pattern is clear and there are no chips, cracks or crazing. Photos 8 and 9 show the proof plate by itself. Sold as a set of 4 plates with USPS Priority Insured shipping included. top
