“In The Waiting”

Today I was struck, yet again, by the pure amazement of what God does… “in the waiting.”
Those times we think He is silent. Those times we are desperately searching for answers. When we think He can't hear us. Those “God… are you even there?” Moments…

Take a minute and read this excerpt from “The Horse and His Boy” by CS Lewis in The Chronicles of Narnia series:
“I was the lion who forced you to join with Aravis. I was the cat who comforted you among the houses of the dead. I was the lion who drove the jackals from you while you slept. I was the lion who gave the horses the new strength of fear for the last mill so that you should reach King Lune in time. And I was the lion you do not remember who pushed the boat in which you lay, a child near death, so that it came to shore where a man sat, wakeful at midnight, to receive you.”

He was… He is The Lion.

He continues to be with you in the waiting.
In top the suffering.

And in those moments that your heart is convincing you that God must be silent, my friend, dust off your Bible.
Read truth.
Your God does not abandon His children during their struggles.
He carry's them.
He defends them.
He sends armies.
He gives not only the choice to sing, praise and pray in the midst of struggle but the strength to do so.
Read truth child of God!
Our God is anything but absent.
