This small , called Black Violet, is elegant. It can be made with black deer skin or buffed cow leather. Both are velvety soft and lightweight. This is a made to order top piece. Please note the approximate ship date.

I hand stitched Black Violet with purple waxed thread. As I pulled the waxed thread through the leather it gathered beautifully. Hand stitching leather with waxed thread creates a durable and glamorous bag.

Black Violet has a smaller pocket stitched to the outside of the main compartment. Two rings are stitched to the lid and a security strap is stitched to the main compartment. Pull the strap through both rings and back through the bottom ring to secure closed.

I cut a wavy edge on the strap. Hand stitching with this cut creates a subtle wave. The strap length is chosen at checkout.

Metal rings are used to connect the bag to the shoulder strap. All the metal matches.

There are leafy details throughout the bag as well as purple amethyst beads tied into the thread. Strips of leather are woven through the lid.
