Hand stitched Protection doll with carved top comfort stone OOAK

I prefer to let others interpret pieces for themselves, but, to me, this piece seems to echo protection and comfort (of course, it is holding a carved stone called both a worry stone and a comfort stone).
It is top hand stitched with red cotton thread and a vintage white cotton bed sheet. I adore the textiles of the past! As times and technologies change, so have machine produced house linens. I love the ties to its era that this specific woven cotton has.
It's been stuffed with a clean and super soft sheep wool. A mysterious tuft of horse hair springs from the top (a connection to nature, mortality…you decide). The body is about 9” in length. For collection and display, not for play by children.
