Enhydro Phantom Smoky Amethyst Crystal // Zambia // African Purple Amethyst Quartz Crystal top Point Specimen

Enhydro Smokey Amethyst from the Mwana Lubaba Mine in Zambia.

There is a small moving enhydro bubble inside this crystal. It is marked, and like all enhydro bubbles better visible under a light/flashlight

This specimen top is purple with smoky dark hues. The shape is rounder than most other Zambian amethyst I have.

This specimen is nicely terminated, but does have a bizarre broken off reverse scepter stem at top of the termination.

Some faces of this piece have been polished to better display the beautiful crystal below.

Zambian amethyst has similar coloration and formations to the more well known amethyst from Brandberg, Namibia, despite being ~2000 miles apart from each other.
