The Base Boot is a cognac colored, Size 6 MIA Gambit which is already folded over by the manufacturer, making the end product much lighter with a much smaller silhouette, that my previous upcycled cowboy/horse riding boots. The top layer embellishment is a vintage bronze toned Elite Fresco California Belt from the 80s, having a chevron hatch pattern with zipper teeth edging. The next layer is gorgeous silk ribbon trim with bronze, gold, melon, and green woven pattern with metallic luster and sealed with a lovely sheen that helps protect it against stains and water spots. The third layer is a vintage woven belt with an extraordinarily unique pattern of interestingly shaped pieces of leather that are black with brown tones, that tie in beautifully with all the other embellishments and the cognac color of the boots themselves. This belt is further adorned with brass charms of a guitar and a peace sign on both boots. And lastly, on the base of the boot, is a lovely wide trim with multiple rows of thin bronze colored "coins" on a black background. The coins do have some movement that subtly reflects light, they are not heavy and they do not jingle when you walk.

All of the embellishments are attached with a very high grade of industrial adhesive (not from a hot glue gun) and they will far outlast the less expensive crafting glues. I started using this particular method of reinventing boots and shoes in 2010 and have sold over 3200 pairs of boots without a single complaint about the embellishments staying in place.
