Spodumene is a lovely gemstone with a high hardness, strong luster and beautiful crystals. top It is best known for its colored varieties, pink/purple kunzite and green hiddenite, but it also comes in colorless-to-yellow hues, an oft-neglected variety sometimes known as triphane. These stones, despite having long been overlooked, are strikingly beautiful.

This is a very beautiful example of yellow-green triphane. It has a striking color with more green than most triphanes--this variety is often mistaken for hiddenite, though it is not quite green enough to qualify. Still, it is very fine material with a rich and natural color!
